Computer Engineering, founded on the principles of computer Science, which are rooted in discrete mathematics, can be primarily categorized into two main areas: software and hardware. Our department admits students in specified quotas for the 2nd and 3rd academic years annually. In our department, there are Erasmus and Mevlana Student Exchange Programs available for both undergraduate and graduate students. 8) Which programming languages and software technologies are taught?
In our department, there are fundamental courses such as Object-Oriented Programming, Visual Programming, Introduction to Programming Languages, and Mobile Programming. They encompass the teaching of programming languages like C#, C, Python, Java, and Kotlin. Additionally, courses in SQL and Oracle are provided in Database Management courses. Tools and programs used for artificial intelligence, deep learning, and embedded system technologies are also taught. 9) To what extent does your department keep up with current technologies and programming languages? Are the courses up-to-date?
Our department closely monitors the evolution of technology and incorporates newly developed programming languages and technologies into the curriculum. The most recent curriculum update was implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year. Within the update, there has been an emphasis on current topics such as Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Python, and Java programming. Furthermore, the course contents are frequently modified by our responsible professors to align with the latest technology trends, ensuring that courses are taught using the most up-to-date technologies. 10) Where to stay in Edirne? What are the conditions like in the dormitories?
Trakya University offers both government-sponsored dormitories through KYK (Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution) and semi-private dormitory options. Additionally, there are both public and private dormitories in the vicinity of our faculty. Students often prefer to stay in the Balkan Campus and Ayşe Kadın Campus areas, which are conveniently located within a 10-15 minute distance.
11) Are the laboratory facilities adequate? Is it possible to attend classes without having a personal computer?
In our department, there are a total of 6 laboratories, one of which is currently under construction. Two Software Development Laboratories, one Mobile Application Development Laboratory, one Electronics Laboratory, and one Embedded System Application Laboratory are available for student use. 12) Is it possible to work while pursuing undergraduate studies? Is it easy to find a place for the internship?
Trakya Technopark hosts numerous software companies, making it feasible for our undergraduate students to work part-time during their spare hours from their coursework. This allows them to utilize their free time effectively while gaining valuable professional experience.

14) Does the department have a preparatory language education?
Our department does not have a mandatory English preparatory class. However, if our students wish to attend a preparatory class, they can receive English preparatory education during their first year. International students can attend Turkish preparatory classes to improve their Turkish.

Trakya Technopark hosts numerous software companies. Many of our undergraduate students prefer to work part-time during their spare hours from their coursework. This enables them to utilize their free time effectively while gaining practical experience in their field.
